This may be a shocker to some, but I decided to rebrand my blog. As much as I loved my prior name, Delightful Distractions, I wanted to steer away from the play on words using my initials DD and bring it back to basics. It is bittersweet the fact my blog has been the same name for 4 years, but I am excited for the change.
My site is now called Gabriele.
Although I am married, I still want my website to carry on my maiden name along with its origin. My maiden name was pronounced “Gabriele” [GAB – ree -EL – ee] originating from the old country [of Italy] before ancestors changed it to the French spelling “Gabrielle”.
I have always been fascinated by the stories of how our surname came about along with the history of our Italian family from Sicily. I do not want to keep confusing my audience, so this change will be my blog’s name from here on out! I may every so often change up the logo, but the name will remain the same. I’m sticking to the same flair in my logo as my prior one.
To address another possible question, the domain name Gabriele.com was taken so I resorted to using my full name as my website. I wanted the blog itself to be addressed by my last name only. I hope you all like it as much as I do ♡
I also apologize for the lack of content on my posting. I have been reconsidering the way I edit and how I want to go about posting on my blog and instagram. I have felt a little scattered recently & am finally finding my way back. Trying to take executive steps and begin a planned regime for you all. Thank you for your patience ♡
